Avocado Spread
Avocado spread is a popular classic that is prepared in no time and can be enjoyed for breakfast, lunch or as a snack. Refined with ingredients such as lime and coriander, the spread gets an extra portion of nutrients and flavor.
Ingredients for 4 persons:
-
2 ripe avocados
-
Juice of one lemon/lime
-
½ tsp rock salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
Pinch of ground coriander
Preparation:
Halve the avocados and scoop out the flesh. Add the other ingredients and puree finely in a food processor.
The avocado spread can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 days and is ideal as a spread on bread, a dip for vegetables or a filling for wraps. My dosha tip: Well suited for Vata and Pitta, recommended for Kapha types in smaller quantities, as avocados have a high fat content.
Ayurvedic benefits:
- Avocado: balancing Vata and Pitta, rich in vitamins, minerals and healthy fats
- Lime: balancing Vata and Kapha, digestive, appetite stimulating
- Coriander: balancing Vata and Pitta, digestive, appetite stimulating
